In 2017, driven by a passion for intersectional feminism and inspired by enlightening articles and TED Talks, I embarked on a transformative journey to create FrecklyMag, an online magazine dedicated to amplifying diverse voices and perspectives. Recognizing the power of social media as a tool for change, I reached out to a vibrant community of writers, models, influencers, artists, and photographers, each collaboration breathing life into the pages of FrecklyMag.
As the Editor in Chief, my role extended beyond the traditional confines of editorial work. I spearheaded the coordination and direction of photoshoots, meticulously managed submissions, and crafted the magazine's aesthetic through careful layout editing. My leadership was not just about managing a team; it was about fostering connections, nurturing creativity, and guiding a collective vision towards tangible impact.
Each volume of FrecklyMag was designed to challenge, celebrate, and contribute to critical conversations. Notably, our third volume shone a light on body positivity, embracing the beauty in diversity and the strength in acceptance. The fourth volume took a stand with the Time's Up and Me Too movements, using our platform to advocate for justice and equality.Through FrecklyMag, I've not only grown as a team leader but also as an advocate for change, using every issue as an opportunity to inspire, educate, and unite.
